The Duchy of Valkyria is a country that is located in Middle Oakland Country and is the oldest in the area. It is ran by Grand duke Manuel the First.
History
The Duchy of Valkyria was founded on November Fourth, 2018 by Manuel Pēna. During the earlier years Valkyria was dormant until December of 2021 when Valkyria became allies with the Third Republic of New Clarkston. The Duchy of Valkyria became a part of the Union of Nations and then The Third Republic of New Clarkston declared war on the United Super States of America on January Fifth, 2022 which inventively caused the Duchy of Valkyria to join the war on the side of the Republic of New Clarkston. The war of 8:38 led to the eventual downfall of the Third Republic of New Clarkston and the Duchy of Valkyria and the Fourth Republic of New Clarkston kept fighting the United Super States of America. The Fourth Republic of New Clarkston Turned on Valkyria on January Fourteenth, 2022. The war was long fought until the Final Collapse of the Republic of New Clarkston happened on January Twenty-First, 2022. The United Super States of America dissolved shortly after on January Twenty-Third, 2022. The Kingdom of Hoffensburg was what was left of the Fourth Republic of New Clarkston. The Kingdom of Hoffensburg and Duchy of Valkyria eventually made the Clarkston Confederation on September Twenty-Seventh, 2022.
Etymology
The word "Valkyria" comes from the word "Valkyrie" which comes from an old Norse tale about woman who live and die in battle and they were called the Valkyries. The suffix "ia" means land in English.
-Geography
The Land in The Duchy of Valkyria is mostly flat and wooded unlike it's northern neighbor, the Kingdom of Hoffensburg. A notable feature is Lake Oakland, being the largest body of water in the Duchy of Valkyria. The Summers are mostly hot and the winters are mostly cold but the falls and springs are around 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The Duchy of Valkyria is bordering the Kingdom of Hoffensburg and the United States of America.
Government
The Government consists of one Grand duke, Grand duke Manuel the First. There are no administrative regions like states, territory's, or provinces and the Grand duke controls the entire land area. The government type is a Constitutional Monarchy. the constitution or the "valkyrian orders" is under going drafting
