Yatsen is the capital of the Republic of Valkerion. It is also the largest city in terms of population, with a population of 1. The city is located in Zhangshen Province, the second province to be organized in Valkerion. Despite being the capital, almost none of any government offices are located there, due to the decentralized nature of Valkerion.

Etymology

Yatsen is named after Sun Yat-Sen. This is due to a majority of Valkerion being ethnically Chinese, thus regarding Sun Yat-Sen as an important figure of democracy.

Most of Yatsen is a small public community park, located in the middle of a neighborhood where Zhangshen is located.

History

Pre-Micronation

Before Valkerion, Yatsen was a popular public park known as the "Circle Park". Due to its accessibility, being located in the middle of a neighborhood, many people used it as a means of recreation. This included playing sports there, as well as using the playground that was located there as well. Some of the people who used the park regularly would become future citizens of Valkerion.

Pre-Capital

After Valkerion was formed, it was soon divided up into many subdivisions. One of these was Zhangshen Province. The area that would become Yatsen was at first not a city, rather just another area in Zhangshen.

Capital of Valkerion

In July of 2024, as part of a mission of completely organizing Valkerion, the park became its own city, Yatsen. Due to the popularity of the park, the president decided to make it the capital of the nation. Despite being the city with the highest population count, it only has a population count of 1. This is yet again due to the decentralized nature of the nation, with citizens spread out all of the country.

Geography

Yatsen mainly consists of a flat field, with the city surrounded by suburbs.

Localities

Yatsen contains a baseball field, basketball court, and a playground. The playground is also known as Fort Yuan. At one side of the city, Shegwa Road connects Yatsen to other parts of Zhangshen, although most choose to use the main entrance. Yatsen is home to the current Vice President.
