The Venetusian Workers Republic, also known as just Venetusia, is a sovereign state (commonly referred to as a micronation) which was established on the 15th November 2024, after its independence from Scotland. It operates as a One-Party Benevolent Dictatorship, and it is lead by President MacDavid. It has a population of only 2 people.
History
Venetusia was established on the 15th of November 2024 by President MacDavid as a place where he could freely create a Marxist State. For background context, MacDavid began to get into politics in late 2020, amongst the COVID-19 pandemic (though he was still quite young), he became a Stalinist. In early 2021, he would reject Stalinism, and become a Titoist. He would remain a follower of this ideology for a further 3 years, until Summer 2024, at which point he began looking further into politics. He settled on the label of Syndicalist and somewhat Council Communist. Despite his ideology now being closer to Unions than Political Parties, he founded Venetusia to experiment with Marxism-Leninism, another ideology he had interest in. On the 16th November, the first video on the official YouTube channel of the nation would be released, a news report, the video detailed the events of Venetusias first 2 days as a nation. On the 20th November, the armed forces of the nation were officially created. The Workers & Peoples Red Army, sometimes shortened to the Crimson Army, became both the armed forces & national police, and alongside them they created the nations navy, the Red Army of the Kelpies (the name coming from Scottish folklore.)

The ruling party in Venetusia is the Party of the United Venetusian Workers, which rules as the only party and sits at the Far Left on the political compass.
Culture
While mainly being culturally Scottish, Venetusia also has some cultural influence from the Eastern Bloc, a lot of logos of Government operations have very Eastern Bloc inspired aesthetics, and the flag of the nation itself is directly inspired by the flag of the German Democratic Republic. The nations’ Ministry of Culture also directly controls the news, with the Workers Weekly news report (also called Venetusian National News) being uploaded to their youtube channel every week. The sport most often played in Venetusia is football, with the President himself supporting the Glasgow based football club Celtic.
