Vehicle registration plates of Northern Salaboda are mandatory for all vehicles within the principality, except bicyles. The design of the standard plate is with black text on white background, trying to keep the registration plates similar to the rest of european countries, therefore adopting the common European vehicle registration plate design, with the band on the far left with the Northern Salabodan national emblem on the top of the band and the international vehicle registration code NSB underneath. The text is surrounded by a coloured border. The official font for vehicles registered in the principality is Trebuchet MS.
Due to the Principality of Northern Salaboda not being internationally recognised, the licence plates stuck on the vehicles must be the original Swedish plate. The Northern Salabodan plates must be visible from the front and rear windows when circulating through the principality.

Abborre Skärgård
Northern Salaboda issues Abborre Skärgård (known as Perch Archipelago in English) their own vehicle registration plates. The licence plates are mandatory for all vehicles registered within the region, excluding bycicles. The design of the Abborre Skärgård licence plates is with black text on a white background, trying to keep the registration plates similar to the rest of european countries, therefore adopting the common European vehicle registration plate design, with the band on the far left with the Northern Salabodan national emblem on the top of the band and the international vehicle registration code ASK underneath. The official font for vehicles registered in the region is Seabird SF. There are no special registration plates in the region, there is only a standard plate type as of now. The standard plates text include two letters of the Swedish alphabet excluding Å, Ä and Ö. Therefore possible combinations are AA-ZZ. The Abborre Skärgård registration plates are barely used as the region is restricted to pedestrians and cyclists, however there are some cleaning cars used to take care of the islands in the archipelago, as well as the people in the Dependent Administration.

Södra Killingön
Northern Salaboda issues Södra Killingön (known as Southern Shilling Island in English) their own vehicle registration plates. The licence plates are mandatory for all vehicles registered within the region, excluding bycicles. The design of the Södra Killingön registration plates is with black text on a white background, trying to keep the registration plates similar to the rest of european countries, therefore adopting the common European vehicle registration plate design, with the band on the far left with the Northern Salabodan national emblem on the top of the band and the international vehicle registration code SKO underneath. The official font for vehicles registered in the region is Bad Font. There are no special registration plates in the region, there is only a standard plate type as of now. The standard plates text include one letter of the Swedish alphabet excluding Å, Ä, Ö and Z plus a number of 1-2 digits. Therefore possible combinations are A0-Y99. Letter Z is removed to avoid confusion with Northern Salabodan temporary plates. The Södra Killingön registration plates are rarely seen as the region is small and has few houses, however there are some resident, police and Dependent Administration vehicles used.
