Vehicle registration plates of Northern Salaboda are mandatory for all vehicles within the principality, except bicyles. The design of the standard plate is with black text on white background, trying to keep the registration plates similar to the rest of european countries, therefore adopting the common European vehicle registration plate design, with the band on the far left with the Northern Salabodan national emblem on the top of the band and the international vehicle registration code NSB underneath. The text is surrounded by a coloured border. The official font for vehicles registered in the principality is Trebuchet MS.

Due to the Principality of Northern Salaboda not being internationally recognised, the licence plates stuck on the vehicles must be the original Swedish plate. The Northern Salabodan plates must be visible from the front and rear windows when circulating through the principality.
