The Kingdom of Sylvia is a micronation in the Eastern Bay Area of Traverse City, Michigan. They claimed independence in the summer of 2022, under King Miles. The official measurement system of Sylvia is the metric system, and their two official languages are English and Latin. Sylvia also has its own alphabet, the Sylvian Alphabet. The Kingdom of Sylvia is also a member of the Traverse Bay Alliance of Micronations.

History

Club Era

The Kingdom of Sylvia's original 3 members founded a club in early summer of 2022. This club's name has been forgotten. It was made because all 3 people in the club had sisters they found annoying.

House of Day Era I

In late summer of 2022, the club was established as the Kingdom of Sylvia by Edward, who made Miles the first king, making him King Miles I of House Day. Under his reign, Miles I expanded Sylvia's borders out from Sylvia city, annexing the field and conquering pieces of forest. During his reign, a rival micronation with no name arose on a nearby hill. They engaged in light battles with Sylvia, and the Nameless Wars began, lasting from early fall of 2022 to spring of 2024. The most notable battle from the Nameless war of this Era is the battle of the posts. This Era ended in late fall of 2022, when Miles I was thought to be an unjust leader, and the Era of the 2 kings began.

2 kings Era

In late fall of 2022, to keep power in check, Mathew I of house Smith was elevated to co-king. Weeks later, this Era ended as Mathew overthrew Miles and took absolute power over the Kingdom of Sylvia

House of Smith Era

In late fall of 2022, Mathew I took absolute power over Sylvia. Miles I, having recently been ousted from power, declared independence from the Kingdom of Sylvia and made the Kingdom of the Darklands in the Darklands region of the forest (named after the Kingdom). This began the Sylvian Civil War.
