The State of Arrowstan, or just Arrowstan for short, is a micronation the American state of Illinois with a population of 7,549. The nation is divided into separate states, each with counties. The nation has two states, Stolica and Worth, with Stolica having two counties and Worth being divided into four counties. The nation was founded by Allen Hanna, someone who has had a history of micronationalism as he had originally started two nations before. The nation is still relatively new and has a railroad system and defense system. The nation has a strong anti-Communist and anti-Fascist thought, and is very pro-United States and pro-NATO.

Etymology

The name "Arrowstan" does not have a meaning, it was selected by Allen Hanna and has stuck for the entirety of the nations history

History

The nation was started by a man named Allen J. Hanna, as he had a good history with micronation. He had started the Republic of Fort Woodchuck and the Abyei Republic, both are defunct now. The nation adopted the territories of Allen Hanna's home and the entirety of Worth County, Iowa, a county located in northern Iowa by the border of Minnesota. The land was selected as Allen had visited this are many times before. The nation started a railroad system called the Arrowstani Rail Agency, as well as the Police Corps, National Parks Agency, Education Agency, Propaganda Agency, Weather Agency, and Diplomatic Agency. On November 20th, 2023, the president created the Arrowstani Department of Defense as to increase national security.

Government and Politics

The power of the government is mainly held by the power of the president, who makes most national decisions. Some of the most influential being the banning of Communist and Fascist political parties, and the decision to annex the Vaupés Department in Colombia. (The decision has not been officially formalized, and is still being formalized.)

Head of state

The current head of state of the State of Arrowstan is Allen Hanna, who is recognized as the president. The president holds most of the decision making power in the government.

Political parties

There is only one major political party in the State of Arrowstan and that is the Arrowstan Freedom Party. The parties main goals are to help create a large, militaristic, and industrial Arrowstan. They are currently getting the government to finalize the annexation of Vaupés Department, along with the Republic of Burlica.

Police and Military

The Arrowstani Department of Defense controls both the Arrowstani Ground and Air Defense Corps and the Arrowstani Police Corps. The Arrowstani Ground and Air Defense Corps (AGADC) is the main organized military force of Arrowstan. They control the Air Corps and Ground Corps. The Arrowstani Police Corps is the civilian law enforcement of Arrowstan.

Foreign relations

The State of Arrowstan has a very open foreign policy and is for spreading freedom and democracy within the micronational community. The nation has a very pro-American and pro-NATO stance and a strong hatred to Communism and Fascism.
