Fauna
Stan is home to the Royal Wildlife Preserve and Gardens, an open-range wildlife preserve that originally sought to be a mere zoo alternative, but grew its mission to that of global wildlife refuge by hosting many microclimates and microbiomes to promote plant and animal biodiversity. It hosts hundreds of non-native animals, plants and microbes in controlled environments that seek to respect local ecosystems while increasing the ability of these ecosystems to tolerate new inputs. Its colloquial name is Ark 2 or Arktu. The species have in many instances fared better than in their native environments and spread well beyond the confines of the preserve. It spans Forest Acres-Two Notch-Decker, an area which has been remade to look like the Ewok village. The Preserve was a gift from the Emperor of Miami after the Methane Clathrate Boom and the formation of the Lagos League.
Wildlife
In general, Stan is known for its beetles, tanagers and chameleons. Stanimals bear close resemblance to several tropical and especially Amazonian species, except that they vocalize with Southern accents. The official bird is the Palmetto bird. The unofficial bird is the rednecked tanager.

Pets are popular in Stan but not as popular as livestock. The most popular pets are iridescent beetles, which are frequently given as gifts. Other popular pets include chameleons, sloths, capuchins, miniature donkeys and miniature pigs. The latter two are converted to livestock as necessary.
