The Republic of Spacelandia, more commonly known as Spacelandia or the ROS, is a planned micronation to be located in/on the US, an island, or some abandoned piece of land that nobody wants.
Here in Spacelandia, people are given just about as many rights as you could want.
Our policies are that foreign nations are to to be treated with respect, dignity, and honor and never to provoke a conflict. In the case of war, we will fight long and hard to defend our land.
Etymology
Spacelandia got its name by combining the name of its founder, SpaceSoldier248, with the word "land." To make it less boring, "ia" was added to the end of the name.
History
The Republic of Spacelandia was originally founded around August 2021 as an RP nation. That, however, was much different from what is planned. Upcoming is a sovereign micronation with an economy, housing, and more.
Politics and government
The government is ruled by the Spacelandian Freedom Party, a justice-loving political group that has dominated it for years. As a result of this, the government is quite good and citizens have many rights.
Early government
In the past, it was called a Republic, but the President was in basically absolute control. He did appoint a Vice President and Secretary of Defense, but neither of them did much at all. His Chief Scientist did a lot, but ultimately left.
President
The President is in charge of the nation. It is the highest and hardest to get position in the Government. He signs bills into law and, if necessary, vetoes some. He is also responsible for the declaration of war and embargoes.
Vice President
One of the main duties of the Vice President is overseeing Congress. He may only vote on bills if the vote is a tie. If the president dies, he serves as a temporary president until the next election.
Congress
Congress may have up to 10 representatives. They vote on bills and elect the Vice President.
Political parties
The SFP has long been the ruling, and only, political party of the Republic.

Law and order
The judge is appointed by the President and serves for 2 years. Law Enforcement is split into the Federal Police and Border Control.
Military
The Spacelandian United Armed Forces (SLUAF) currently has just one branch, the Cyber Force, which deals with digital threats. Multiple more branches are planned:
- Army (SLA): All ground forces of the ROS.
- Air Force (SLAF): A branch comprised of aircraft, helicopters, and drones.
- Navy (SLN): Small warships and patrol boats will make up this part of the military.
Departments
The President has multiple Secretaries who assist him in specific subjects. They each lead a department.
Department of the Military
The Military department covers such topics as homeland defense, cyber security, and the weaponry of the military.
Department of the Treasury
The Treasury controls the production of money and taxes. Thankfully for citizens, the only tax is a 10% income tax.
Department of State
The Spacelandian State department is involved in the wellbeing of Spacelandians and Spacelandia as a whole, anywhere in the world.
Department of Foreign Affairs
The government communicates with other nations via Foreign Affairs and is very closely affiliated with the State Department.
Department of the Interior
A few of this department's responsibilities are keeping citizens happy, making roads, and keeping crops growing well.
Foreign relations
Spacelandia does its best to remain peaceful, respectful, and civil. However, if we cannot prevent war and another nation goes on the attack, we will fight as hard and as long as is needed to defend our great nation.
Administrative regions
Spacelandia will be divided into Districts. Each District will have a Mayor.
Economy
It is planned to export any resources that can be found. Exchanging stations will be available to convert USD to SLD.
Culture
English, the official language, is traditionally spoken, although a new language known as Spacelandian is being made. English will remain the official language.
Holidays
As well as the holiday listed, there are 4 more planned: Establishment Day, Sovereignty Day, Independence Day, and Recognition Day.
