The Republic of Rondor, more commonly known as Rondor, is a country with a long history despite not having been around that long. Rondor used to be controlled by a king, alongside a parliament, until the republican government reform after the civil war from October 2nd to 8th. After that, the leader of the republican party, Aldor Grimleth, took over as president.
Rondor is controlled by a bicameralist government, with the highest house being the Congress of the National Parties (Yretehm dejc csen Nechôn'gecîe Partî'ie) led by the president, and the lower one being the Senate of the Rondorian Provinces (Senât dejc csen Rondor'gecîe Byâr'ie) led by the prime minister.
Etymology
The name "Rondor" comes from the old Gohirmian royal house name "Raunedóre". Former king Esmond brought that name with him when he created Rondor in year 1076 (2021).
History
In year 1074, the Gohirmian National Order Agency finally retook the region of Sêgeodvas and the southern parts of Vasbyâr region after 83 years of mafia state-governance in the regions. This led to economic and political problems in the Kingdom of Gohirm, so two years later, the Gohirmian prince Eodred Têomundsän left the capital of Êstbyâr (currently known as Eold Helmlûn), and went over to the coastal city of Hegurlûn and brought a part of the army with him, and a few months later, on November 21st 1076 (2021) they invaded Gohirm and took over the government, and renamed the country to the Kingdom of Rondor, with prince Eodred as king Esmond. He opened the Rondorian Parliament with two parties: The King's Party (Csen Helm'vân Partî/CHP) led by king Esmond and The Free Republican Party (Csen Ynâer Cvâneonan'gec Partî/CYCP) led by Aldor Grimleth. King Esmond did not like the idea of losing power if the Republicans would win, so he messed with the election results every time. Eventually the Republicans found out about it, and they started the Rondorian Civil War, which lasted from October 2nd to 8th of year 1078 (2023). The Republicans won the civil war, and Aldor Grimleth became president, and the parliament was reformed to the congress, and the Kingdom of Rondor was renamed to the Republic of Rondor.
Politics and government
Early government
Rondor used to be governed by a king, alongside a parliament with two parties.
President
The highest leadership of Rondor is president|president (Ypsilonian: presidiênt). The president is the one which leads the congress meetings, but he can also appoint someone else to lead the congress meetings. The current president is Spyridon Êadoulv.
Prime minister
The second highest leadership of Rondor is prime minister (Ypsilonian: ûne'cia ministâr). The prime minister is responsible for leading the senate meetings.
Bicameralism
Congress
The upper house of the Rondorian government is the Congress (Ypsilonian: Crecsâyretehm). The Congress is led by the president, and currently has 3 parties, and 12 seats.
Senate
The lower house of the Rondorian government is the Senate (Ypsilonian: Nechôn'gec Senâturanêim). The Senate is a place for the representatives of the Rondorian regions to have common meetings. The different regions all have their own senator/governor and a mini-senate.
Political parties
Each political party is divided evenly between 12 seats, with 3 seats being the minimum amount, and 4 parties being the maximum amount of parties.
Law and order
Rondor has 1 police station accompanied with prison cells in each region. The punishment for criminals is usually decided by the local senate, but can be taken further to the national senate or congress.
Military
The Rondorian Army is led by the defence minister, and one lower general. Rondor has taken part in the Second War of Concorde and Battle of the Red Bay. The official marches/anthems of the Rondorian Army are La Victoire est à Nous, Der Hohenfriedberger, and Gammel Jegermarsj.
Administrative regions
The administrative regions of Rondor are listed below. Each of them have their own senator/governor, which represent a region in the Senate. The regions have their own capitals, with the main capital of the entire country still being Hegurlûn. Mini-senate buildings can be found in the regions, where the senator of the region works. The regions can have more than one town, for example Hegurlûn has both Hegurlûn and Ädvaslûn, and Vasbyâr has Vasbyâr and Lêgvanlûn.
