The Republic of Jacobia, more commonly known as Jacobia, is a country in Weiglestown, United States. It is one of the biggest micronations in terms of mainland and population.

The country is governed by Jacob Barton, the president that governs all of the provinces and government. Every year the people vote on if the vice president should switch roles with the president.

Jacobia is a member of the UPSM, a group between micronations that help in times of need. The other members are Arconia, Wickfeild, and Arrowstan.

Etymology

The name “Jacobia” comes from Jacob Barton, the current president, with the suffix “ia” meaning land. Those together means “The Land of the Jacobians”

History

Jacobia is a very young country, being founded in 2022, they mostly keep to themselves to grow, but they did have a war between the Lantern Republic, which protested the killing of the spotted lantern fly. They changed the name of the Little Conwego Creek to the Bofferdee Creek, after the city of Bofferdee.

Politics and government

Jacobia has a very faint government, where the only people who run are the vice president or president. Only when one of these people dies are when people start running for these spots.

Jacob and Alex have power here. They control everything else of the government. They do have a new power where they can send anyone of their choosing to be a diplomat.

There is only one party currently in the ballot, but the religion for this party can change.

Law and order

Laws of Jacobia are similar to the United States, but there are different laws which include

· No tobacco or street drugs · don’t turn the flag upside down for malicious purposes.

The countries military is small, but is existent with 6 active personnel.

Ministry of Jacobia

The ministry of Jacobians is responsible for making laws and sending them to the head of state and documents in Jacobia. It was established on 14 April 2022 when the country was founded.

Geography and climate

Jacobia doesn’t have any actual rivers or lakes bordering or inside its territory, but it does have two creeks, Fox Run and The Bofferdee.

Economy

The economy is really different. The Jacobians don’t trade or export as they don’t have the resources to do so, but their currency is the Jacobian Ruper and is a US Dollar / 2. The Ruper is used as an export.

Culture

While this country is very young, it has some very interesting cultural traditions. The Jacobians are very protective of a certain shape, called the Jacobian Band. This shape is a rectangle with a semi-circle shape cutout from the bottom angles. This shape is used on the nations flag, Coat of arms, and every Jacobian logo. This shape is also put on Jacobian merchandise.

Holidays

There are two national holidays. Independence Day and Bofferdee Day.

28 June	Bofferdee Day	the people of Jacobia walk down to the Bofferdee with two items, a bucket and a bottle. The people use the bucket and scoop up water from the creek, where they purify it at a purifying station. Then they fill the bottle up with the purified water and take it home to drink or keep to be used later.
