The People's United Kingdom of Arizonia and Bir Tawil, more commonly known as Arizonia, is a micronation in North America. It was originally formed during the COVID-19 pandemic as "Michlandia" however geopolitical pressure forced a complete re-write of the Constitution which created the nation we know today. Currently our nation requires mandatory military service if the Mountkia issues an official declaration however when not mobilized, our army is mostly composed of an unorganized militia. This has only been used three times in the history of the nation, once for a drill and two other times to deal with a war or a straining of relations. Our society is relatively peaceful and enjoys spending time in the National Parks gifted by the great and sovereign Mountkia.

Etymology

Our original locations were Arizona and Bir Tawil and "Great Sandy Nation" didn't have a cool enough acronym so it became "The People's United Kingdom of Arizonia and Bir Tawil". I could make it longer to include our other overseas posscessions however PUKAZBT has gained such a following that it would confuse our dear citizens.

History

Our nation has suffered many losses and casualties to protect our citizens. The first real test of the military was during the Arizonian-Prestonian Crisis in which a group of unhappy citizens attempted to overthrow the government to support their own personal agenda. ^[1]. Our Mountkia swiftly declared war on them and ordered the Air Force to begin reconnaissance on the base of the group. Two plans for attach were created, Operation Cheetah and Operation Ender.

Military

Our Military is composed of the Army, Marines, and Border Guard with capabilities for Air Support through our allies with the Republic of Shepard.

The Army consists of three battalions each under a different commanding officer. The 1st Light Infantry Brigade focuses on fighting using conventional means utilizing Nerf guns and water balloons. The 3rd Signal Corp. battalion focuses on maintaining communication with groups going into the field. At all times they are required to have a base at the military headquarters unless directed to not. The 2nd PSY/Annoy battalion focuses on psychological warfare especially related to annoying the enemy soldiers
The Marines is composed of one squadron of light marines capable of minor beach landings and basic naval infantry operations. In the time in which we don't have a navy, the Marines serve in that role especially manning boats and patrolling.
The Border Guard protects only the Arizonian Oblast <it is spelled that way get over it>. Often the Border Guard patrols regularly with the Republic of Shepard to ensure the security of our dear nation. It should be noted that no other oblast is protected.
