Selection Process
Becoming a Berserker is a long and lengthy process. First you must have already served for at a minimum one year in your unit and must get a memorandum of recommendation by the Battalion Commander and Company Commander. All applicants will go through an interview process and physical. Once the interview and physical are complete another memorandum by the examiner will be written approving or declining the applicant allowing the applicant to attend the final test for selections or to return to home unit where the applicant can attempt the process in six months.
Once the applicant has completed the administrative portion they will report to the practical selections. At end of duty day the applicants will be given a single MRE to eat following a uniformed layout and inspection of equipment. Any equipment that is not on the packing list will be confiscated. Any major equipment missing will drop the applicant from selections.
Day 2: 12-mile ruck in full combat equipment with in 3 hours. Following the ruck any applicant who failed the timed ruck will be dropped, all who passed will layout equipment for another inspection. All applicants will receive a single MRE. The applicants will now be tested on patrols and military movements.
