While deployed in Kuwait and Iraq King Roydes was awarded, 1st Armored Division 'Old Ironside' Right sleeve insignia, Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Overseas Ribbon.
OPERATION SPARTAN SHIELD 2023 King Roydes served under the 1/77th Military Police Brigade, 107th Engineer Battalion as a Combat Engineer.
