The Kingdom of Wescocia is a unitary constitutional monarchy micronation, founded in October 2022, and based in New York City. Governed by His Royal Majesty King Arsenij Veleslavsky and following the principles of parliamentary hereditary monarchy, it emphasizes peaceful diplomacy and cultural identity within the micronational community. While English is the primary language of the kingdom, Ukrainian, Russian, and other languages are also acknowledged, reflecting its diverse heritage. Wescocia maintains a secular government, through the Wescocian Church, which is influenced by Eastern Orthodox Christianity, which plays a prominent cultural role in the nation. It aims to foster recognition and peaceful relations with other fellow micronations worldwide.
Etymology
- Wescocia (weh-SKOH-shuh) originated from the word Wescioca (weh-SYOH-kuh), initially generated by a Country and Nation name Generator. The name was later reformatted to Wescocia to better align with the cultural and linguistic vision of the Kingdom. An interesting fact is that the word Escocia (eh-SKOH-syah) means "Scotland" in Portuguese, meanwhile having no direct roots to a Scotland of any kind. The name creation was a total coincidence with the word Escocia.

History
Pre-history
- Around the beginning of the year 2022 opened a new interest in micronationalism to Wescocia's future king. Formerly known in basic politics future king started thinking about creating his own micronation one day, but it was uncertain when, because much work should have been done and because of personal reasons, future king Arsen didn't prioritize time to create something he was uncertain about at that time.
September 2022
- The time of uncertainty was over the modern territory of the Kingdom of Wescocia at that time. Its first monarch, which at that time was a regular person, decided to try and create its own Micronation, after a long-lasting period of amusement with other micronations and micronational concepts in general. It was decided to begin creating own micronation.
October of 2022
- It took less than a month to create national symbols and consider all the norms of the micronational state and other important needs. The Kingdom of Wescocia formally proclaimed its sovereignty on October 5th of 2022, at that time as an Absolute Monarchy with King Arsen being its first and only Absolute Monarch for an indefinite time, until it was possible to form government and proclaim Constitutional Monarchy later on.
November of 2022-May 2023
- This period can be called "The Great Shadow Times" as during this period, King Arsen wasn't active in developing the newly formed state because of personal reasons, and the Kingdom of Wescocia was for the most part inactive. We still monitored micronational communities to keep track of the news that was coming. During this period King Arsen mostly focused on thinking about the future ways of the micronations, redesigning its national symbols, and other important stuff. The period of "New Spark" fell on May 22, 2023, when King Arsen I of Wescocia announced the grand return of the Kingdom of Wescocia and officially proclaimed its sovereignty as the new Constitutional Monarchy.
July of 2023
- On July 5th of 2023, Wesocia got its rebranding to represent the kingdom for an indefinite time starting from that date, though keeping the original flag colors which stand for Determination (Black), Peace (White), and Liberty (Dark Blue). On July 6th of the same year, King Arsen officially inherited the surname of Rochelart which marks the beginning of the Rochelart's rule of the Kingdom of Wescocia. After 1 week on July 14th, the Kingdom of Wescocia adopted its first constitution, which now draws a specific division of power in the Kingdom and acts as the highest law in our country.
November of 2023
- On November 27th of 2023, the Kingdom of Wescocia announced its official end of the Neutrality in Foreign Relations Policies, as it joined forces with the Greater Colanian Empire and its Alliance of Micronational Unity (AMU) allies against the threat that United Socialist Republics have posed to the whole Micronational Community. The cost of being bystanders outweighed the doubts and fears, so the Kingdom became a helping hand by opening up borders for any micronational refugees of the Free Micronational Community and extended hands of cooperation and assistance to the allies in a fight against the USR.
January of 2024
- January 6th, marks the day the Kingdom of Wescocia adopts its first national and royal anthem "God Save the King". The official text of the anthem can be found on Wescocia's website.
- January 7th, the Kingdom of Wescocia recognizes the Intermicronational Court as a legitimate judiciary entity of the international (intermicronational) law. Voluntarily binding to the IMC statute to uphold values of the international law and obligated to respect the authority of the IMC and follow its rulings.
- January 11th, the Kingdom of Wescocia becomes an observer state of the VECTO alliance.
February of 2024
- February 4th, the day United Socialist Republics ceased to exist, ending the crusade against the Free Micronational Community. The Kingdom of Wescocia celebrated a little victory being a helping hand to the micronations that directly were threatened by the USR's aggression.
March of 2024
- On March 1st, 2024, the Kingdom of Wescocia formally became a member of the United Micronational Organization.
June of 2024
- On June 17th, 2024, the Kingdom of Wescocia formally joined the American Entente alliance.
June of 2024
- Kingdom has witnessed its downslide in recent months, mostly due to inactivity. Once in a while, we keep expanding our diplomatic ties with other members of the Micronational community, but it is the only thing. Hopefully, this period of stagnation will be overcome soon.
October of 2024
- On October 14th, 2024, Kingdom has witnessed a big revamp and updates. The Discord portal has been updated and cleaned up, the microwiki article was created and the website is undergoing updates. The revision of the constitution is awaited, but for now, we are preparing to get more members who will be interested in serving our great nation so HRM can finally form a proper government.
- Additionally, on the same day, the House name was changed to Veleslavsky in an attempt to eliminate the non-existent British / Western European culture and inherit the Ukrainian / Eastern European heritage of the noble house and HRM the King.
- On October 27th, 2024, the new Constitution draft was put in place, changing the vertical of governance power, and replacing the old and flawed constitution that was in place since July 14th of 2023.
November of 2024
- On November 16th, 2024, the Kingdom of Wescocia and the Crown of Vassland officially signed the mutual recognition and alliance treaty.

- The House of Veleslavsky is in the power of reigning the kingdom. The current monarch is His Royal Majesty Arsenij (Arsen) Vohnedar of the House of Veleslavsky, King of Wescocia and Duke of Struice holds a position as the sovereign of the Kingdom of Wescocia and leader of the Wescocian Church. His royal family consisting of His Royal Highnesses Prince Orest of Louford and Prince Yevhen of Tudving are the notable royal family members that can act as representatives of H.R.M the King and House of Veleslavsky both in internal and foreign diplomatic missions.

Foreign Relations
- The Kingdom of Wescocia is committed to fostering peaceful coexistence and mutual respect with micronations worldwide. As part of its foreign relations policy, Wescocia formally recognizes the sovereignty of most micronations. However, the Kingdom reserves the right to withhold recognition from entities it deems as mock governments, role-playing nations, or those engaging in disruptive behavior within the micronational community. Additionally, Wescocia does not extend recognition to micronations that promote harmful ideologies or violate principles of human rights and dignity.
