The Eldonian Empire, more commonly known as Eldonia, is a micronation in St. Louis, Missouri, in the United States of America. The capital of Eldonia is Lakeshore. The main official languages of Eldonia are English, German, and Dutch, which are used on official documents. However, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, and Esperanto are also official languages.
Eldonia was founded on 15 September 2021, under a absolute monarchy, until the constitution was signed. Currently, the ruling party of Eldonia is the National Party, and the Prime Minister is Max Zesch.
Etymology
The full name of Eldonia is the Eldonian Empire. The origin of the name "Eldonia" is not known. Coincidently, the name "Eldonia" is also the name of an extinct soft-bodied crabronid animal.
History
Early History
The Kingdom of Eldonia was founded on 15 September 2021 by King Joseph von Eldonia-Glysteinia. On the day of its founding, the King designed a flag, with a black background, a white cross in the middle, and a golden rose. Soon, a government was formed to run Eldonia, with the King running the government. Around November 2022, the King Joseph declared the formation of the Eldonian Colonial Empire, which consisted of the main realms of his cousins, and declared himself Kaiser. On 30 April 2023, 1:00pm CST, The leader of Jacksonville, Jackson, declared Eldonia a communist country, and himself its ruler, with the support of then Lord Franklin and Sir Kirin. After a duel with King Jackson, Kaiser Joseph was forced to cease half of the capital city of Eldonia, Lakeshore, to Jacksonville. However, Lord Franklin and Sir Kirin were secretly loyal to the Kaiser, and, when the Jacksonian forces were forced to leave, the land was given back to Eldonia at around 1:45pm CST. Today, this event is referred to as the Jacksonville Coup. On May 25th, 2023, after the resignation of the first Prime Minister, now King Heinrich of Webster, the Kaiser appointed Josephine Pedigo, now the Queen of Rethalia, as the second Prime Minister of Eldonia. A day later, On May 26th, 2023, now Emperor Joseph declared the formation of the Eldonian Empire, after the annexation of what is now Placiniska, then the German Reich.
Golden Era
On 29 June 2023, the HIM, The Emperor and HIH, Prince James, left Lakeshore and headed toward Chicago, Illinois, to attend MicroCon 2023. There, he established Eldonia's first real diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Akxcalonia, now the Federal Republic of Securis-Akxcalonia. On 15 November 2023, the first Imperial Prime Minister Elections took place, bringing a new democratic age to the Eldonian Empire. In the first elections, Prime Minister Bernard Ridgeway was elected. Not long after, the Empire began to gain members and reached 100 citizens on 18 November 2023.
Placiniski Rebellion
On 17 March 2024, the Placiniski Government gave the Imperial Government a statement saying that they had declared independence. A day later, on 18 March, the Imperial Government issued the Placiniskis with an ultimatum, which they swiftly refused. The Eldonian Empire then declared Placinikska in rebellion. After a few days, on April 17th, an agreement between the leaders of Eldonia and Placinikska was reached stating that they would continue diplomatic relations after the war. On 28 April the Eldonian Imperial Military engaged in their first battle, the battle of Lakeshore, however this battle was lost. A day later, on 29 April, a peace treaty was formally signed.
St. Louis Association of Micronations
After the Treaty of Lakeshore was signed, it was agreed that there need to be an intermicronational body to keep peace in the St. Louis region. It was decided that the SLAM would be formed. So far, the St. Louis Association of Micronations is only in its first founding stages, and only a few nations have expressed desires to join.
Lobster Island War
A few months after the Placinikski War of Independence, Lobster Island, a small micronation, tried to take Eldonian land after their declaration of independence. With Eldonia refusing the demand, and after the Eldonians threatening war, Lobster Island declared war on the Eldonian Empire. With the Placinikskis supporting Lobster Island, they joined the war against Eldonia, and are still at war with Eldonia to this day. On 27 September 2024, the Republic of Placinikska officially left the St. Louis Association of Micronations.
Politics and government
The Eldonian Empire is a constitutional monarchy, meaning that powers of the monarchy are limited by the constitution. The government of Eldonia is run by the Emperor and the Prime Minister. Unlike many constitutional monarchies, the Emperor holds considerable power in Eldonia. The Eldonian Empire holds parliamentary elections ever year, around November 15th, while it holds Prime Minister elections every odd year on November 15th.
The most senior officials in Eldonia are His Imperial Majesty, The Emperor, The Prime Minister, the members of the Imperial Parliament, Field Marhsal of The Eldonian Army, and Admiral of The Eldonian Navy

Imperial Parliament
The Imperial Parliament is the legislature of the Eldonian Empire. It consists of the upper house, the House of Lords, and the lower house, the House of Representatives. The Imperial Parliament is in charge of making the laws of the Empire.

Law and order
The Imperial Police is the official law enforcement in the Empire. The Imperial Police isn't really active in the Empire, as there aren't many crimes committed.
Military
The Eldonian Imperial Armed Forces are the main defense for the Eldonian Empire. There are four branches of the military: the Imperial Army, the Imperial Navy, the Imperial Air Force, and the Imperial Marines. The Imperial Army of the Eldonian Empire has fought in the Battle of Crestwood, during the War of Placinikski Independence, where the Placinikski Army flanked and forced a surrender in the Eldonian forces.
Ministries
After the election of a Prime Minister, they appoint ministers into the Imperial Council to help them run the country. A minister runs their respective ministry. Currently, there are eight ministries in the Eldonian Empire.
Ministry of Finance
The Ministry of Finance is responsible for managing and printing money in the Eldonian Empire. The Ministry of Finance covers the budget for the Eldonian Empire, and works with the Imperial Parliament and the Imperial Crown to create one for the year. The current Minister of Finance is the Right Honorable Collin Larson.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs carries out diplomatic relations with other nations. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is technically run by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, but most diplomatic relations are carried out by His Majesty, The Emperor. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strategizes diplomatic efforts, and is in charge of the foreign policy of the Empire. The Minister of Foreign Affairs is the Right Honorable Fiona Naney.
Ministry of Justice
The Ministry of Justice is responsible for enforcing the law and seeking punishment for those guilty, and represents the government in any legal matter. The Ministry of Justice is responsible for also handing out legal licenses. The current Minister of Justice is Hannah Shambaugh.
Ministry of Defense
The Ministry of Defense is responsible for providing the military forces to protect and secure the Empire. It also consists of the High Command, which is in charge of the armed forces. The Ministry of Defense also creates strategies for the military to use in a time of war. The current Minister of Defense is Lee Eyre.
Ministry of Transportation
The Ministry of Transportation is responsible for giving out licenses to use and operate vehicles, and puts regulations and rules on said vehicles. It also controls all state owned transportation companies, like railways and bus lines. The current Minister of Transportation is His Imperial Highness, Prince Andrew.
Ministry of Citizenship
The Ministry of Citizenship is responsible for letting new citizens into the Empire. It also issues passport and other documents to citizens. Do to this being its only main focus, it is one of the smallest ministries. Currently, there is no Minister of Citizenship.
Ministry of Culture
The Ministry of Culture is in charge of most of the museums in the Empire, and is in charge of the Eldonian Imperial Orchestra, and the Eldonian Imperial News, though non-government news is also available. The current Minister of Culture is the Right Honorable Brendan Wegmann.
Ministry of Science & Technology
The Ministry of Science & Technology is in charge of scientific development in Eldonia. The Ministry of Science & Technology researches and improves existing technology for the betterment of the people. The Ministry of Science & Technology also works with the Ministry of Defense to create weapons for the Empire. The current Minister of Science & Technology is Nathan Britton.
Foreign relations
The Eldonian Empire has diplomatic relations with several nations, though the Empire has only recently done so.
Unilateral recognition
The Eldonian Empire recognizes both the State of Israel and the State of Palestine, as well as the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China.

The Eldonian Empire has several Kingdoms, Grand Duchies, Duchies, and Principalities. These are called by the Imperial Government as "constituencies". The type of the constituency denotes how many seats in the Imperial Parliament that constituency gets. The land of most constituencies are only symbolically claimed.

Economy
The Eldonian Empire currently does not have much of an economy. The currency of the Eldonian Empire is the Haulfam, but has not entered into production.
Culture
Due to being mostly in the United States, the Eldonian Empire does not have a very distinct culture. Most news is spread by email and/or discord.
