Etymology
land is pretty straightforward land means earth,territory, kort is the surname of the founders of kortland,mahdi kort and youssef kortand so together it makes kort-land, another name for kortland is kortistan,but this name is rarely used and is mostly used by semi-turkish people living in kortland
History
The origins of the micronation dates all the way back to the 1800s when anatolian settlers(kort surname)bought land in the north east of tunisia,the land was called hanchir-al-kort or arv-al-kort by the ones who owned it, the piece of land became more and more divided from its occupers that in 2024 it finally decided to break from the tunisian hybrid-regime,
Politics and government
Early government
On the first days of the existence of Kortland,it was a democratic republic,but was quickly switched to federation,the transition from democratic monarchy to federation was on the 4th of july,following the dissolvement of the democratic republic of henchir kort. after the federation lasted even less,lasting about 3 days before transitioning into a federal monarchy
Youssef the Ist
kortland is a monarchy,therefore there is a monarch,not to be confused with a king,the monarch has absolute power in the nation as long as at least one of the members of government accept the decision,some votes are held democraticly with all citizens voting either: yes,no,depends or obstain ,the monarch's role is crucial in managing the micronation and making it grow,
Marwa the Ist
the monarch's wife,Marwa the Ist has absolute power over the colony of curranta kortia,she has the power to control anything that colony has,in addition to taht she has significant power in crucial decisions for the future of kortland
Law and order
The judicial system is a job that is reserved to the royal family,if he is guilty,he will be punished depending on the crime,if he isn't guilty,he will be freed and whoever accused him will have to face half the punishment that the suspect was gonna receive if he was guilty y so for ex: The suspect is not guilty for treason(8 yrs in prison) The one who accused him will have 4yrs of prison

the ministry of foreign relations is for maintaning mutual and unlateral relations with other micronations,to solve wars,diplomacy and treaties,and is also useful for disccuisng trade,alliances and foreign affairs

the ministry of culture is for organizing holidays,as well as implementing national elements on kortland,it is also useful for partnering with other micronations and groups,

The Kortish glorious groundforce military uses weapons such as swords,knives,bamboo spears and olive tree branches are used in the ground force military,and as the name says,they operate on the ground,they are seperated in mabavhoms which literally means "together" in tunisian arabic

Cyber-military(KCMASN)
the third military is called the kortish cyber-military and spy network,its in charge of hacking and spying on enemy bases and online sites, the cyber-military has been once employed against domestatem,and is still being employed,it is also used to gain private information from any country/micronation.

Geography and climate
kortland is located on the south-west tunisian governorate of nabeul,kortland holds about 10 species of fauna including olive trees,bamboo,blackberry,pine trees,european grass,,helfa grass,red currant bushes a,d dandelion.for animals we have about 15 animal species such as jackals,birds of prey,invasive snails,native snails,wasps,spiders and snakes.the most common type of flora found in kortland are olive trees,there is about 100 olive trees in the micronation;while the most common fauna are snails,jackals play a crucial role in symbolizing kortland and in the military.

Economy
A big part of Kortland's income is olives,accounting for about 30% of the country's income,other incomes are usually jobs that pay about 3 000 a month per each person which accounts to the national income of the nation,which would be about 12 000$, given the statistics. Kortland’s total national income is about 20 000$ of income every month.
Culture
In Kortland, education is very important ,first they have home schooling between 2-4 years,where they learn tunisian arabic,maths,french,english,geography and micronation geography,then,they go to school until 18,and then they go to university up until about 25 years old, in kortland the official language is tunisian arabic ,although french is used as well and turkish might be reserved for important documents.the olive is an extremely important fruit in kortland,its almost present in every kortish dish. in kortland there is an electric news industry called The Kort times,which is for publishing news on various platforms such as youtube and discord,kortland is a islamic state having 100% of their population identifying as muslim
