History
De Heksemberg is a historical site that was made a City by Parklandia. De Heksemberg has its origins in the redoubts, small forts that were part of a defense line built by King Willem II around 1839. These defenses, consisting of earthen walls with a moat, were intended to protect Boxtel from a possible Belgian invasion during the war of independence between the Netherlands and Belgium. However, the redoubts were never put into use because peace was signed between the two countries shortly after their construction.
One of these redoubts, located in the area Parkland, is known as the Heksemberg. This remnant of one of the original twelve forts has stood the test of time and is still visible in the Boxtel landscape. The site is a small island with striking ramparts and a surrounding moat.
Around 2021, de Heksemberg was claimed and is still the Capital of Parklandia. In August 2024, the Parkland politics of the Heksemberg went to the city PresiKantoor.
