The Canton of Neuton is an administrative divison of the Federal Republic of Ostton. Neuton is the largest Canton in Ostton by population with 8 citizens and it is located in Southern England. The Canton of Neuton is unique as it uses a power sharing system for governance. The Current Cantonal President is Fabian Jusep and his VP is Tobey, Duke of Valtelline. Neuton is characterised as a unity coalition state, but historically has been a dominant party state under the rule of the Renaissance Party and its predecessor parties.
Presidential Electoral History
Throughout its history Neuton has suffered from poor electoral turnout and voter apathy. The Cantonal Assembly returns 4 members including the President who is an Ex-officio member. The January 2023 was a heated election as Tobey, Duke of Valtelline failed to get onto the ballot due to errors in his application which weren't pointed out by the electoral commission of Neuton. As a result, in the January 2023 election Fabian Jusep won 100% of all votes cast for a candidate, as he was the only one.
