The 2022 Siliștea firework accident was a small explosion that happened during a New Year’s celebration in the Snagovian capital village of Siliștea, on 1 January 2022. At around 00:10 EET, the fireworks went off too close to the ground after a mistake with the gunpowder. The blast mildly injured eight people, and scared many animals nearby, causing them to flee.
