The Department of the Interior is an government department created under the State Owned Enterprises Act 2022. The Department of the Interior is the latest government department in the Arstotzkan Federal Government, with its announcement coming following the first reading of the State Owned Enterprises Act 2022 on 25 July 2022 and it officially becoming a government department on 10 September 2022.
On 9 August 2023, the Department of the State adopted the new Federal Territorial Affairs Commission and the name was changed to the Department of the Interior.

On 9 August 2023, the Federal Territorial Affairs Commission was adopted as a sub-department office and led to the renaming of the Department of the State to the Department of Interior. Chairman Tyler Brazier announced that the FTAC would become the Bureau of Territorial Affairs.
