Demitrou Chostacovitch
Demitrou Demitroujevitch Chostacovitch is an Easwegian politician, entrepreneur, part-time farmer and ethnic rights activist who has served as Alderman of the Pomors Frontier since 17 January 2022 and minister of finance and economic affairs since 25 August 2022. He is the founder and president of the Pomors Reformist Party of Easway.
Chostacovitch first began his career as prefect of Rijp, where he served as a member of the United Prefectural Assembly from 3 August 2021 to 17 January 2022. Under Chostacovitch, Rijp saw a rapid modernisation in business and culture and set the stage for the Unipra to be transformed from a civil service examination body into a legislative organ, today unified within the parliamentary United Common Assembly. As Alderman, Chostacovitch has established major economic and governmental reforms through national plans and advocated reform for the preservation of Easwegian democracy, coining the term 'Easwegian polyculturalism.' Demitrou Chostacovitch is wideley regarded as the founding father of both the modern civil service and the parliamentary assembly.
Alderman of the Pomors Frontier
Chostacovitch took office unopposed as the 2nd Alderman of the Pomors Frontier on 17 January 2022 when the position was reestablished in the constitution. With Chostacovitch joining the federal Council, he officially became the 2nd minister of the interior (known today as the minister of home affairs), a position he had served in acting capacity since 11 October the previous year.
Transitional Movement
Chostacovitch pledged PRPE support for the Transitional Movement in the run-up to the June 2022 elections. Established 12 June 2022 by the Mutualist Ouroboros Party, the Republican People's Party of Easway, and the Pomors Reformist Party of Easway, the Transitional Movement aimed to remove the co-official title of Emperor for the chief head of state and remove the head of Easway and head of Maritime Pomors municipality from having the ability to block and make amendment to the constitution. The Transitional Movement succeeded, with the chief head of state being renamed to the Grand Councillor and the constitution edited on 14 July 2022.
