The Day of Datheen is a national holiday in the Reformed People's Republic. On this day, the life and work of Petrus Datheen is celebrated. Petrus Datheen (Also known as Pieter Datheen or Peter Datheen) was a Dutch theologian who lived from 1531 (Day unknown) to March 17, 1588. He was known for his own unique psalm rhymes that are still sung today in some orthodox Calvinist churches in the Netherlands. On the Day of Datheen, the members of the Reformed People's Republic sing all psalms are in Datheen's rhyme, instead of the usual 1773 rhyming. This is to thank Datheen for his rhyming, which is very popular in the Reformed People's Republic.
