The Coat of arms of Arkaland (Greek: Εθνόσημο της Άρκαλαντ or Εθνόσημο της Αρκαλανδίας), is one of the national symbols of Arkaland.

History

The first coat of arms was adopted on 26 January 2023 AD, the day the Principality of Arkaland was established. It was relinquished on 15 February 2023 AD, the day the micronation was renamed to the Kingdom of Arkaland. The second coat of arms was adopted on the same day. It remained active until 5 January 2024 AD, when it was once again replaced.

Design

The lesser coat of arms of Arkaland is a blue shield featuring a white Greek cross, surrounded by two fleurs-de-lis and two Latin crosses and topped by a golden royal crown. The coat of arms feature the lesser coat of arms, supported by a lion and a goat, all in front of a dark blue mantle, which is topped with another royal crown.

Description

The coat of arms of the Principality of Arkaland is blue and white shield, topped with a silver helmet, supported in one side by a centaur, and in the other, by a kri-kri (Capra hircus cretica).

Crest: A helm of an esquire, Cendrée, with lambrequin, Azure and Or.

Blazon: An escutcheon Party per fess Azure and Argent, defaced by the name of the state (Πριγκιπάτο της Άρκαλαντ, Greek for "Principality of Arkaland"), Sable.

Supporters: On the dexter side a Heraldic Centaur statant, proper and on the sinister side a Heraldic Goat salient Cendrée).

The centaur symbolises the Greek and the kri-kri the Cretan identity of the micronation.

Second coat of arms

Description

The first coat of arms of the Kingdom of Arkaland is a blue shield crowned with a Hellenic royal crown and surmounted by a dark blue mantle embroidered with gold, decorated with gold fringes, tied with gold cord with the same such tassels, set with ermine and crowned with a golden and blue crown.

Crest: A Hellenic royal crown.

Blazon: An escutcheon Azure, a Greek Cross Argent. Around the cross quarterly: first and fourth, a fleur-de-lis Or; second and third, a Latin Cross Sable.

Supporters: On the dexter side a Heraldic Lion rampant guardant contourné Or and on the sinister side a Heraldic Goat salient Or.

Compartment: Above: a pedestal; below: the medal of the Order of Saint George of Arkaland.

The lion and the kri-kri are symbols of the micronation's Greek and Cretan identity, respectively.
