The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS; French: chef d'État-Major aérien) is the fifth most senior member of the Baustralian Armed Forces (after the Chief of the General Staff), and the professional head of His Royal Air Force having primary responsibility for command, control, and administration of the air force, as well as military strategy, plans, and requirements. The position is usually held by an four-fish general member of the air force. The current CAS, since 20 Febuary 2020, is Julian Kostuik.
The rank insignia of the CAS is of an Air Chief Marshal.
