The Chancellor of the Principality of Harcourt is the holder of a public office created by the Harcourt Constitution. The Chancellor is nominated by the Royal Prince of Harcourt to a six month term of office.
Under the Constitution, the Chancellor is President of the Principality of Harcourt General Assembly. In that capacity, he is allowed to vote in the General Assembly when necessary to break a tie.
Official title
The title of Harcourt's Chancellor is President of the Principality of Harcourt General Assembly. However, "Chancellor" is the more usual title in a Constitutional Monarchy system.
Nomination
The Chancellor is chosen every first Sunday of the new term by the Prince. The term lasts for six months, and there currently is no term limit.
