History
The Chair of the Assembly position was established as a part of Tinakula's revival as a republic.
Duties
Assembly Chair
The Chair is the presiding officer over the Archipelago Assembly. He or she organises and chairs meetings of the assembly and is responsible for the management of the Assembly.
Island Governor
The Chair is also typically a Governor of an Island in Tinakula as well, being nominated for the position by the Assembly.
Appointment
The Chair of the Assembly is formally appointed from within the Assembly by the Prime Executive of Tinakula on advice of the Assembly.
