Relations between Canada and the Kingdom of Permaria are extremely limited, as Canada does not recognize the existence of Permaria as a sovereign state. Neither country hosts an official embassy, and there is no formal diplomatic contact between their respective officials. Permaria has made several friendly, although informal, overtures to the Canadian government, but has yet to be acknowledged in any official capacity.

Permaria is heavily dependent on Canada to provide basic essential services, as well as cross-border trade since it is an enclave situated entirely within Canadian territory. The Permarian constitution requires its government and all citizens to maintain a legal and peaceful coexistence with their Canadian neighbors, and obey all local, provincial and federal laws at all times. Permarian citizens born on Canadian soil are automatically dual citizens of both countries and pay Canadian taxes in that regard.
