History
First the role of the Campanaro took its cue from the past of the Republic of Ceneda. The territory of the present Republic was in fact once the seat of the bishop-count of the diocese of Ceneda. The Campanaro represented in fact the legacy of that time, being in fact endowed with noble titles. The role was created by the idea of the founder of the Republic of Ceneda in August 2022, during a meeeting in Auronzo, IT.
Then, during the writing of the constitution and after some research, it was considered appropriate to change the title from count to duke, in order not to risk offending the current bishop Corrado Pizziolo. The role of duke however goes back to the nation's past, which was a duchy during the Lombard reigns
Campanaro di Stato (6 August 2022-20 September 2022)
The Campanaro was initially a minor role in the Republic. In fact was one of the lowest role. The Campanaro of that time therefore decided to try to carry his name higher and so, some time later he acquired, for a short time, a more important position.
Secretary of State (20 September 2022-26 Semptember 2022)
The Campanaro then became Secretary of State (20th September), second in command after the President of the Republic. During this period there was the signing of the first constitution, which was modified after a few days. On the 26th of September the Republic of Ceneda then passed from a Republic to a Monarchy, and then went back to being a republic again.
Chairman of the republic of Ceneda (26 September 2022-present)
On the 26th of September the founders decided to give to the role of the Campanaro the privilege of beign the Chairman of the Republic of Ceneda, becoming in fact the president of the Republic.

The Campanaro can appoint his successor and then subsequently abdicate, in case he no longer feels able to govern. The Campanaro will appoint the successor by presidential decree. Once appointed, he has 48 hours to sign his abdication.
