The Britainvision Song Contest 2022 was the inaugural edition of the Britainvision Song Contest. It was organized by VT (Villorian Television) and the MV Union. Three nations have confirmed their intention to participate in the contest. The Grand Final was be held on November 5th, 2022, and will be held in a Digital Venue owned by Yasmine City Council, a subsection of the Villorian Government. Tusan won the contest with the song "Superheroes" with 120 points.

Location

The 2022 contest took place in a Digital Venue owned by Yasmine City Council- meaning that the contest technically occured in Yasmine, the capital city of Villoria.

Bids from Jhkara (the 2nd largest city) were also entered, but didn't win.

Format

Entries

Entries had to abide to a strict set of rules. These rules are: the entry must be either a cover, or a completely original song. The entry was permitted to be in any language- but preferably English or the entrant's native language. The song is also required to be 4 minutes long or below, unless permitted otherwise. And, the song must have no explicit language. But- suggestive language is permitted with moderation.

Only 3 countries participated in the contest.

Grand Final

The final took place on 5 November 2022. It was won by Tusan, which will host the following edition of the contest in 2023. The running order was announced on October 28th, 2022.

Official Playlist

Britainvision Song Contest: Yasmine 2022 was the official compilation playlist of the contest, put together by the MVU and was released by ZJ Studios digitally on 24 December 2022, having only been avaliable on Spotify. It was unexpectedly removed on February 20th, 2023. As were the playlists from the 2023 and Junior 2023 editions.
