Blood and Steel is the first novel written in Enduring Symphony, a series of fantasy/sci-fi novels written by Charles Madgett. It was released on 30 April 2023. The novel tells the story of Raizo, Undarm -3, and their allies known as The Negatives. Raizo is from the planet Macha. Macha is ruled by the evil King Chosen and his Undarms.
Plot
Raizo is an individual from the planet Macha. Macha is ruled by the evil King Chosen. Raizo is attempting to combat Chosen and his underground militaries, known as Undarms. Raizo befriends an Undarm who betrayed King Chosen called Undarm -3. Raizo and Undarm -3 then find more people to recruit called The Negatives. Throughout the novel, Raizo, Undarm -3, and The Negatives get stranded on multiple planets. This includes a planet with gravity ten times heavier than that of Earth, which forces the crew to adjust and adapt.
After the bloody battle against King Chosen, Raizo and Undarm -3 emerged as the ultimate victors, their opponents crushed and defeated beneath their feet. The people of Macha celebrated their new overlords with fervor, praising their strength and brutality as a sign of their unchallenged power. Raizo was crowned the new king of Macha, his rule ushering in a new era of terror and oppression across the galaxy as other planets would grow oppressive to contrast Raizo's spread of freedom and democracy.
