Baltia TV
Baltia TV (BTV) - Baltish public television broadcaster and also a joint-stock company of the State Treasury. In 2020, the only TV broadcaster in Baltia.
From 2020, the broadcaster's legal status is defined by the Broadcasting Act, according to which Baltia TV is obliged to carry out a "public mission (...) by offering (...) diverse programs and other services in the field of information, journalism, culture, entertainment, education and sport, characterized by pluralism, impartiality, balance and independence as well as innovation, high quality and integrity of the message. Currently, the broadcaster finances its operations primarily from compensation from the state budget for lost revenues from subscription fees, and to a lesser extent from the broadcasting of advertisements and sponsorship, radio and television subscriptions and the sale of programs produced by it.
Baltia TV is the broadcaster of TV channels available in digital terrestrial television: BTV1, BTV2, BTV3 Regionalna, BTV4, BTV5, BTV6, BTV7, BTV Info, BTV Sport, BTV Historia, BTV Dzieci, BTV Kultura, BTV Rozrywka,BTV Klasyka, BTV Dokument , BTV World, BTV Nauka, BTV Muzyka, BTV Seriale and BTV.
Although the Broadcasting Act obliges Baltia TV to maintain impartiality and independence of the broadcast, for many years it has been repeatedly accused by various commentators of lack of objectivity and being subject to political influence. Since 2021, BTV has often been accused of becoming a provider of one-sided information in line with the message of the ruling Modern Party of Baltia and from 15 October 2023 Party.
