The Aurumian Imperial Code, also known as the Imperial Code of Aurumia, is the strict set of laws abiding the powers and styles of the current monarch of Aurumia. It was first written on 23 October 2022 as follows:
The monarch shall be above everyone else by the right of establishment, the succession and divine law practised in Aurumia. It claims that the founder of a nation has the right to became the overlord and dictator of it, and anyone they chose is to rule after them. In Aurumia, this is protected by the Constitution as a legal right..
The viceroys (governors of the provinces), must all swear and oath to the Emperor or Empress on their Coronation Day.
The people must abide by laws produced by the viceroys, and finalized by the monarch. If a law has been passed and not finalized by the monarch, no laws will prevent the viceroy who passed it being punished (by exile, imprisonment, civil service or restriction of rights).
The monarch must not abuse their people (viceroys included) in a harmful way, as that will be punished by the Constitution.
