The National Anthem of Old West is Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, which was written and composed by Charles Wesley originally in 1739. It was later adapted into its current form by George Whitefield and others in 1754. This song in particular is a famous Christmas carol. The song in question was adopted as the national anthem of Old West after it was declared an independent state on November 17, 2014, as it was Isaiah Deegan's favorite Christmas song. However, when the song was adopted as Old West's national anthem, only the second and third verses of the song were chosen to be used.
Lyrics
Second Verse
Christ, by highest heaven adored
Christ, the everlasting Lord,
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of a Virgin's womb:
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see,
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel
Hark! The herald-angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King"
Third Verse
Hail the Heaven-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Sun of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings,
Risen with healing in His wings;
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the new-born king"
