Ancient Order of the Diamond Sphinx
The Ancient Order of the Diamond Sphinx (A.O.D.S.) is a fraternal order founded in Kapreburg in 2022. The Order is inspired by Freemasonry, with slight alterations in it's ritual and ceremony to make it more compatible with the Christian faith. The AODS started as an idea called Neo-Observancy, but on 19 February 2022 was formally founded as the Ancient Order of the Diamond Sphinx.
History
The AODS started as an idea called Neo-Observancy. It was inspired by Freemasonry, and aimed to make it more compatible with Christianity, and available to younger people. The Grand Lodge of Neo-Observers of Kapreburg was founded on 12 February 2022. Everything was rebranded to the Ancient Order of the Diamond Sphinx on 19 February 2022, to distance the organization from Freemasonry and take more inspiration from other fraternal orders. Currently, the AODS acts as a sort of social club.
Organization
Lodge
The local unit of the AODS is called a lodge. Each lodge reports to a Sovereign Lodge in their province, and each Sovereign Lodge reports to the Sovereign Lodge of Kapreburg. The Sovereign Lodge of Kapreburg also acts as a normal Sovereign Lodge. Each Lodge is run by a President, and each Sovereign Lodge is run by a Sovereign President.
