Alex Carranza is a Riveri politician who was the vice president of the Socialist Republic of Logastan from 21 July 2020 until its dissolution on 16 September 2020, during the administration of Logan Jack. Carranza became a citizen of the West River Confederation, which includes much of the former territory of Logastan, after its founding in October 2020.
On 2 January 2021, President Benjamin Pickles announced that he would nominate Carranza as the Secretary of National Defense, succeeding interim secretary Logan Jack, who had resigned on 18 October 2020 to take office as first minister of West River. He will take office in January 2021 if he is confirmed by the Riveri National Assembly.
