2022 Lovinian general elections
On December 1, 2022, there will be general elections to choose the inaugural members of the National Council and the first Captain-General for the Captaincy of Lovinia.

This election will mark the first elections after a constitutional reform which made Lovinia into a unitary, executive presidential republic. It will also mark the first election for both executive and legislative elective positions.
The candidates for the elective positions will be determined in the following weeks and months to come.
Voting
Qualifications for Voting
The following weeks will determine the deadlines for voter registration and the filing of candidacies. The right to vote exists in Lovinia. Unless they are disqualified from the voter rolls, people who are 16 at the time of the election are eligible to vote.
Additionally, youth between the ages of ten and twenty-one will elect their own representatives to the National Council. Voting for a representative is also permitted for Lovinians who reside abroad, but not for the Captain-General.
Voting System
The elections in Lovinia will use closed-list proportional representation, with the usage of the D'Hondt method (for local representation), and first-past-the-post voting (for the position of Captain-General and representatives for youth and those who live overseas). Creation of political parties and coalitions are also permitted.
Since July 15, 2022, the Sulong Lovinia and People Power Parties have existed.

Political Parties and Candidates
Sulong Lovinia Party
Sulong Lovinia Party (English: Onward Lovinia Party) is a social-democratic and liberal party in Lovinia, which is the party of the current Captain-General, John Nobleza, which is also the Party Leader. Nobleza, the sole candidate of the Captain-General election, filed his candidacy under the SLP banner. It fielded five candidates for the Lovinian National Council and all of them won, including the current Speaker of the Lovinian National Council, Elena Navidad.
People Power Party
People Power Party (Filipino: Partido Lakas Bayan ng Lovinia) is a centre-right, populist party in Lovinia. It fielded three candidates, and two of them won. Its Party Leader is Gerardo Corpuz, who also expressed interest to run for Captain-General, but then backed out.
Independent Politicians Group
The Independent Politicians Group (Filipino: Pangkat ng mga Walang Kinikilingang Partido) is the group for nonpartisan politicians. Its' only member is Sonia Valenzuela. She also won her seat.
