Ben Olson
Nonpartisan

The 2017 Benjastanian presidential election was held by the Congress of the Democratic Kingdom of Benjastan to appoint the first President of the Democratic Republic of Benjastan. Olson, in Germany at the time, sent a video message to the Congress, requesting that the nation be reformed into a Republic and that he become the first President, and the motion was passed.

Background

The Democratic Kingdom of Benjastan was founded on 16 October 2017 by Ben Olson, who was crowned King of Benjastan. He served in that capacity for two months. Olson grew bored of being King, and Olson, in Germany at the time, sent a video message[1] to the Congress, requesting that the nation be reformed into a Republic and that he become the first President, and the motion was passed. Olson took office on 30 January 2017.

Notes

  1. Olson was elected as a nonpartisan politician before the founding of the People's Revolutionary Communist Party of Benjastan.
  2. Later Beddington, then the Thomasville District.
  3. Sha'uri Ellis was not elected as the Vice President, but was appointed shortly after Olson took office.
