Zarostowo – capital city of the Zarostowian Country and the Zarostowian Oblast, the second largest city in the country, located in its central part.

Formerly one of the 4 capitals of Baltia

It was granted city rights before 2021. After 2021, central offices were moved to Zarostowo, and the president began to visit the Presidential Residence more often.

Zarostowo is the largest city in Baltia in terms of area. The districts of Zarostowo include: Zaułek, Damatoł Dolny, Pułacniki, Centrum Ogrodniki Zarostowskie.

The name Zarostowo comes from the name of the former settlement, and later the district of Goleniów - Zarosty

Location

Zarostowo is located in the initial course of the Krępinka, in Western Pomerania.

The capital is the main city of the monocentric zarostowian agglomeration. The number of its inhabitants, depending on how its borders are defined. It is the largest population center in Baltia. There are about 10 cities in the zarostowian agglomeration.

History

Most of the buildings in Zarostowo were built at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, but there are housing estates that were built in the 2000s and housing estates that date back to before World War II.

The history of Zarostowo before 1990 is really unknown, because it was and still is hidden by the Polish administration, which in the years when Zarostowo belonged to Poland, the administrative authorities, among others. the mayor did not know about the existence of this district by name.

At the beginning of the 1990s, Margarita Zielińska, the current mer of the city, moved from Mikorzyn with her family. Since then, the history of this city is known. A few years earlier, also the Baltians from Mikorzyn began to settle the present Pułacniki.

Also in the early 1990s, the Presidental Residence in Zarostowo was built.

In the years 2008-2013, the current president, Peter Rabbitson, lived in Zarostowo.

The coat of arms of Zarostowo is currently the image of the Mother of God with the Child.

Since 2021, the coat of arms of Zarostowo has featured the Mother of God. Previously, the coat of arms of Zarostowo featured the dome of the church.

The Zarostowo flag refers to the Marian colors. Formerly, the beard flag consisted of three stripes with the colors: green, red, yellow, later the order of the last two colors was changed and 12 stars were added.

Mer of Zarostowo

Mer of Zarostowo is elected directly by the inhabitants of the capital on the basis of the Electoral Code. The president's prerogatives include: managing municipal property and supervising the work of all subordinate district governments - the scope of duties is specified by law.

Currently mer of Zarostowo is Margarita Zielińska.

Mostly the inhabitants of Zarostowo are followers of the Roman Catholic Church, but there is a small percentage of atheists.
