The Wooden Cross Movement is a small-scale religious group of Christians who adhere to Calvinism. The group consists of 4 members who are all residents of the Reformed People's Republic, an orthodox Calvinist state in the Netherlands. The Wooden Cross Movement sees it as their task to lead an Orthodox life and strive for recognition of their group by the Calvinist community.

The Wooden Cross Movement, unlike other religious movements, is not a sect. It is a small group of Calvinists who are all members of the same Calvinistic congregation. However, this group occasionally holds their own Reformed worship services, in addition to attending services in their own congregation. The group is also part of the large number of Protestants who believe that the Bible should be taken literally, and that the Biblical texts are for all time. For example, members of the Wooden Cross Movement are prohibited from eating pork, and they also do not eat lamb. In this last precept they use the Biblical example that Jesus is compared to a lion and a lamb. For this reason the lamb is an important symbol of mildness to them and therefore they do not eat a lamb, to remember this comparison.

Members of the Wooden Cross Movement are a very small percentage of believers who disapprove of conversion to Calvinism. They use the example that the Calvinist community is just like a family, and that you can't just choose to join a family without being born into it. They also disapprove of anyone who wants to become part of their group. If anyone does want to join the Wooden Cross Movement, he or she is advised to find a similar group or to walk this path individually.
