There are three types of people in the United Citizen's Service: Officers, Soldiers, and Servicemen/Servicewomen.
Classifications
Officers are frontline authority figures. They are responsible that information and orders from the higher-ups reach those on the front line. They are the most respected in the field and generally speaking, what they say goes, so long as it does not directly contradict the orders of those that outrank them.
Soldiers are directly below Officers. They are the main attacking force. There are more soldiers than any other person. However, Soldiers are only designated as such when the nation is at war.
Servicemen are Soldiers during peace.
