Topoteretes (Imvrassia)

A Topoteretes is a title to describe the deputy head of the administration in a Hegemony , a Despotate and an Exarchate.

An Imvrassian citizen who has the title of Count/Countess or Protosebastos/Protosebaste as well as members of the Imperial House with the rank of Nobelissimos or Zoste Patrikia can be appointed as a Topoteretes by the Crown and the length of his/her term is determined by his own desire to administer an administrative subdivision of the state as is the case of others administrative divisions.

A Topoteretes is considered superior to a Chartoularios because he/she could replace on his/her duties a Hegemon or an Exarch and furthermore to act as his/her closer advisor.
