Marmilon, officially the State of Marlimon is a self declared micronation based in the United States, despite still being truly part of the United States, Marmilon has a genuine desire for independence on the basis of protest against the United States government. It respects the sovereignty and power of the U.S but it opposes it's policies.
The Basis of Foundation
Marmilon was founded on the last half of the day on 15 January 2022, it was founded as an absolute monarchy to be in control of the State of Marmilon. Stating that enlightened absolutism will be a democracy but there will be no elections. The current Emperor is Jakob (Sommerstein). the meaning of the name is 'summer rock'.
The Sommerstein family in Fiction
Sommerstein, in the Three Legends, is known as a family with roots from Germany. Specifically in Baden-Wruttemburg and Bavaria it claims it's earliest ancestor was Paul Von Sommerstein (Remigus) who lived from 897 to 921. He had three kids, by his widowed wife who had Heinrich, Johann, and Catherine after Paul died, Heinrich would have one son, whom was Johann ll, Johann officially established the Marmilonian Caphilate near Madrid as he was sympathetic to the Islamic conquest of Spain, however, he was prosecuted for treason and was shipped off and deported to places unknown, it is believed he ended out in South America and legend states he pillaged communities in North America as well after hopping on a boat from Ecuador and landed in Southern Mexico and remained there until 991
Johann's son, Franz the Great, according to legend, was at first in his life, a devoted Catholic, but he then converted to Islam, he went to Spain as his father had years before, but instead of establishing his own Caphilate he decided to fight for Córdoba. He died about 1020, for the rest of the century, new heirs were born who decided their faith as Catholic as they denounced their ancestors. Almost 700 years later, in the mid 1700's, the descendants relocated to Ukraine, they stayed there until around 1891 when a famine struck and they fled from a small village Mannheim to present day Darmstadt where they sailed to North America, one of the descendants, Antonius Von Marmilon as the title that Johann had carried was declared "hereditary regardless of collaspe". and Antonius was an Catholic convert to Islam. He wished to carry his ascendants legacy. Thus he established the State of Marlimon, establishing it as a secular state. His descendants would make Marmilon an empire from the 1899 to present.
History
The State of Marmilon was founded on 15 January 2022 by Emperor Jakob Sommerstein, he made the Three Legends, and is the founder of the National Myths and the State of Marmilon. He is Head of the House of Sommerstein. He had originally considered making Marmilon a republic but decided against it.
