Spaldia (Spaldian: Spaldie), officially the Community of Spaldia is a Scandinavian-based Canadian-American Grev commune. It is located in and around Amherst, New York including Erie County (New York), Niagara County (New York), and the Regional Muncipality of Niagara (Ontario).

The unified Community of Spaldia emerged in 2017 with the extreme development of the Spaldian language and has been established since 5 June 2018. Though loyal to the Danish monarchy, Spaldia does not claim any sovereignty from the United States and/or Canada.

The etymology of the word Spaldia comes from the Clan Spalding from the United Kingdom. More specifically, the Spaldingas were a Anglican tribe that settled in the Spalda in the Kingdom of Mercia.

Located in the Iroquois land of Western New York and Southern Ontario, Spaldia serves two counties in New York and one muncipality in Ontario.

The legislature, Gicånlevaa, is the centre of Spaldian culture and law. It is fully run by the Grev. The legislature regulates the Spaldian language and creates events for the community to take action upon.

As for loyalty towards the Kingdom of Denmark and it's monarch; Spaldia recognises Margrethe II of Denmark as the head of government as the rightful leader of Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Iceland.

Members of the community are selected personally by the Grev of Spaldia.

Spaldian is the official language of Spaldia, with English as the de facto language respectively. French language is a recognised minority language because of Spaldia's connection with Canada. Spaldian and English belong to the North Sea Germanic branch of the Indo-European languages, along with Frisian, Scots, and Low German.

All Spaldians speak English with a high level of proficiency.

Spaldia shares cultural ties with its Scandinavian influencers Denmark, Iceland, Sweden and Norway with Canadian and American culture. Overall, the most important part to Spaldian culture is the language, that brings people together.

A major feature of Spaldian culture is the winter festival of Júl (Christmas) during the month of December. Yule (Yuletide) was and is a festival observed by the historical Germanic peoples. Scholars have connected the celebration to the Wild Hunt, the god Odin. It later underwent Christianized reformulation resulting in the term Christmastide.
