Spaldians (Spaldian: spaldímenen) are members of a Scandinavian-based commune. It's cultural standpoint is primarily based on the constructed language of Spaldian.

The Community of Spaldia emerged in 2017 with the extreme development of the Spaldian language and has been established since 5 June 2018. Though loyal to the Danish monarchy, Spaldia does not claim any sovereignty over any land. On 1 March 2021, The Tiny Ranch was established as Spaldia's communal legislature in Vermont.

Etymology

The etymology of the word Spaldia comes from the Clan Spalding from the United Kingdom. More specifically, the Spaldingas were a Anglican tribe that settled in the Spalda in the Kingdom of Mercia.

Government

The legislature, the Tiny Ranch, is the centre of Spaldian culture. It is fully run by the ministers of language, agriculture, and relations. The legislature regulates the Spaldian language, community, and relations. As for loyalty towards the Kingdom of Denmark, Spaldia recognises Margrethe II of Denmark as the head of government as the rightful leader of Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Iceland.

There are currently four official titles of government for the Community of Spaldia, all ministers are sworn in at the Tiny Ranch in Vermont.

  • Monarch: Queen Margrethe II of Denmark
