The State of Lucentia, more commonly known as Lucentia is a landlocked micronation made out of five enclaves within Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand and Nan, Thailand. Four of the enclaves are located in Pak Kret and one is located in Nan. It was founded as the Socialist Republic of Litheria in September 3, 2022 by Mohammed Hakeem Sami, who is still the leader of the nation. In April 2, 2023 it was renamed to Socialist Republic of Lucentia and embraced Islamic socialism. It went from a Socialist Republic to a State in October 24, 2024.

Litheria was established on September 3, 2022 with a one-party socialist government. The name of the party is the Double Star Party. It was made on the same day without a name or logo. The nation was renamed to Lucentia on April 2, 2022 to give the name a proper meaning.

Lucentia was a full member of the General Assembly of the Thailand Micronations and was downgraded to an observer state on January 22nd, 2024 due to inactivity.

Etymology

The name "Lucentia" comes from the word lucent which is an alternative word for shine. An alternative word for shine was picked because the sun shines in Lucentia daily. It used to be called "Litheria" but the name was changed in April 2, 2022 due a lack of meaning.

History

2022

On September 3rd, 12-year-old Sami watches a Nas Daily video about Molossia and gets tempted to start his own micronation. He talks with his friend Pun and they both start a micronation at the same time. Pun claims territories of his and his friend's houses and Sami claims territories of empty grasslands in his community and calls his country the Socialist Republic of Litheria. Sami makes his country socialist and Pun makes his country welfarist. Then in October - Early November, Sami expands his country to a small portion of his community. In Late November–December, Sami expands his nation to the entire northern part of his community, which is more than 200,000 meters squared.

2023

On January or February, Sami expands his nation to include the southern part of his community, which is about 45,000 meters squared. On April 2nd, Litheria changes it's name to Lucentia to finally have a meaning with a new flag and coat of arms. The nation now has 4 provinces, 9 city municipalities, and 1 special administrative area, which is the Capital. 4 days later, the Double Star Party is given a name and logo. In April 16th, Lucentia changes it's ideology from "Lucentianism" to Islamic socialism since the Leader thinks it fits well with Islam, his religion.

2024

Nearly a year goes by with inactivity, the General Assembly of the Thailand Micronations downranked Lucentia from a full member to an observer member on Janurary 22nd. After more than a year and a half of inactivity, on October 24th, Lucentia ditched Socialism for Secularism. Sami originally wanted his country to be Islamist but due to the majority of the population being Buddhist, he chose Secularism. Due to the ditching of Socialism, Lucentia changed it's name from the Socialist Republic of Lucentia to the State of Lucentia. Lucentia also showed interest on leaving the General Assembly of the Thailand Micronations. On November 2nd, Lucentia scales down to it's September 3rd territories with an extra territory called "Crestia" in a family member's house in Nan. The double star party now dissolves as Sami forms the Religion of Peace party. Lucentia also changes it's flag and removes it's national anthem and coat of arms. Sami is now working on a new national anthem but won't give his country a seal or a coat of arms.

Leader

The leader of Lucentia's real name is Sami Boonruang Mohammed. He was born in Bangkok, Thailand on November 11, 2009. He is half Thai and half Egyptian by race but holds a Thai passport. He could speak English fluently and read and write Thai fluently but he doesn't understand the language well.

Lucentia claims 2,011 square meters of land in Pak Kret and 694 square meters in Nan. This makes the total area of Lucentia 2705 square meters. The country is formed out of five enclaves. Every subdivision in the country is an enclave. The territory with four enclaves located within Pak Kret is called Equidapolis. Every subdivision in Equidapolis except Equidonia doesn't have residents. Equidonia houses 4 people since it's the leader's house. Despite being less politically significant and geographically away from most of Lucentia, houses 5 people, which is more than the other enclaves combined.

Climate

Lucentia experiences a Tropical Savanna climate according to the Köppen climate classification. The temperature is hot year-round and the average yearly is 26.75 °C.
