The Socialist Republic of Grovepark, more commonly known as Grovepark, is a micronation in Minnesota. It has a population of 7. Grovepark is defunct now since it dissolved on February 24, 2021
Etymology
The name Grovepark came from the nearby school.
History
Grovepark declared independence from the USA in 2019. Originally it was a monarchy but it had a referendum and the results were for a socialist government. Since then it became a isolationist micronation until Sondonesia invaded them. The Groveparkian fought hard but were no match to the overwhelming manpower that Sondonesia had. Grovepark participated in the Second Minnesota War. Eventually Grovepark surrendered to Sondonesia, but later in the war the allies would retake Grovepark but it ended in failure when supplies ran low and Sondonesia did mass offensives that overwhelmed the allies that they had to retreat and abandon Grovepark. After the war Grovepark was fully annexed by Sondonesia. Life in Grovepark wasn’t the best, the Sondonesians cracked down on any resistance groups. Supplies were limited. And when the flood of April 4, 2020 hit, the Sondonesians did nothing. Until August 3, 2020, Grovepark rebels rose up against Sondonesia and they would win, this is due to Sondonesia already being busy with another war and couldn’t handle another front. Grovepark was now split in two. Between a capitalist rural Grovepark and a Socialist Grovepark. For a while the two Groveparks would be in time of peace. In October 6, 2020 the Senton Pact declared war on Seldavia. Grovepark also declared war because of its ties with the Senton Pact. Grovepark took advantage of this and invaded West Grovepark on October 26, 2020, it was a quick victory with West Grovepark surrendering on November 1, 2020. Grovepark officially unified on November 2, 2020. Once again Grovepark returned to isolationism and to this day they are still in isolationism.

Grovepark only has one party and that is the Socialist Party of Grovepark ran by Dominick G. Dominick G. is considered a dictator by many micronations.

Grovepark only has the military to protect and enforce the laws.

While a isolationist micronation it has good relations with Narasaurus and Chantastan.

Grovepark uses the US dollar and their main trade partner is Narasaurus. There are barely any jobs in Grovepark.
