Shinko, previously known as Pan, is a province of the Principality of Xiyonland. It was founded during the days of Boceo and has since developed into Xiyonland's industrial and technological hotspot.

History

Independent Pan

Pan was one of three states that rose from the ashes of the defunct Bocean Confederation, which collapsed because the divergence of the Bocean peoples caused cultural differences which were too strong for Bocean unity. Pan's capital at the time was a small settlement also known as Pan, now known as Shinko Town. Though the smallest out of the three states, Pan initially held equal power over the former Bocean lands as the other states, namely Koshka and Shion. That all changed when Koshka imperialized, taking the "peace lands" which were shared by all the Bocean states. The need to defend Pan pushed its leader to seek assistance from Shion. This prompted the creation of the Shiopan Dynasty: a union of the Shionese and the Shinkonese.

Pan under the Shiopan Dynasty

During the Shiopan Dynasty, Pan became one with its neighbor Shion. Their militaries were also combined, as a way to combat the recent imperialism of the Koshkan's Empire, which had recently conquered a nearby tract of land known as Bolakio. A coming battle however, would cause Pan to be invaded and taken by the Koshkans. Pan was made into a puppet state of Koshka.

Pan as a Koshkan Puppet

Pan, despite being a Koshkan dependency, enjoyed relative autonomy, keeping their own native rulers. The Koshkan Imperial Court placed a young Shinkonese national named Jo as the Prince of Shinko, who would rule Pan on the behalf of Koshka. The Koshkan rule over Shinko would would last little more than a year, however, as Koshka was embroiled in the Koshkan War with Shion, which would result with Koshka on the losing end of the conflict.

Shinko as a District of Xiyong

Before long, Shion, now called Xiyonland, captured Pan from Koshka and renamed it Shinko. The Prince of Xiyonland allowed Jo to stay on the throne of Shinko, and this lasted until the Enshonese takeover in Xiyong resulted in a self-coup that made it a socialist republic. The position of Prince of Shinko was abolished and replaced by the office of Dictator of Shinko, which was held by Jo. During this period, Shinko modernized, becoming a technological nation. The tech industry began to boom in Shinko with companies like the Shinkonese Game Developing Service being founded. This is how Shinko's history remains.
