The Security and Information Bureau (also known as SIB) is an agency of the Exilarchy of Ashoka that serves as both a federal criminal investigative body and as both a internal and external intelligence agency. The SIB also engages in covert activities at the request of the Grand Tribunal of the Exilarchy of Ashoka.
Missions and priorities
The SIB's primary function is to collect information about foreign governments, corporations, and individuals, and to advise public policymakers. The agency conducts covert operations and paramilitary actions, and exerts foreign political influence. The SIB also protects and defends the empire against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the empire.
Organizational structure
The SIB answers directly under the Tribune of Foreign Affairs and is part of the Bureau of Defence.
