The Royal Bhalamian Navy (Nepali: शाही भालामियन नौसेना) was the naval warfare branch of the Bhalamian Armed Forces. The Maharajadhiraja is the Supreme Commander of the Navy while the Chief of the Naval Staff, a four-star admiral is the professional head of the navy.
The naval branch of the armed forces was formally created on 6 December 2023 and catering honorary and nominal services to the nation. The naval force is practically never utilized and discharged ceremonial functions with little to no duties.
History
The rank of an "Admiral" was first introduced on 6 December 2023 following the creation of the armed forces.
Command
At the time of its creation, the navy, like the other branches, was commanded by a three-star vice admiral rank officer who was titled as the "Commander of the Navy" and the tri-services commanders reported to the Chief of the Defence Staff, who was the professional head of the armed forces. The position of the commander is vacant.
