General Information
The By-Election was called by the Governor General to fill in a vacant seat of Parliament. 3 out of the 4 Parties put a candidate forward. This election was very important due to the fact whichever party one would determine who controlled parliament. If the National Republicans won they would have had a Majoirty is the oppostion parties won they would have a majority against the government.
