Rhodieland, officially known as the Feudality of Rudeinya, is a micronation located in West Asia,inside the borders of Kirsehir Province of the Republic of Türkiye . It's predecessor is The Kingdom Of Idia. Total claimed area of the kingdom is 2 km², or about entirety of the village of Çeşmeli, or Laipat under Rhodieland Provisional Law.

After 8 years under Hatti administration, 2 years under Idian administration and 1 year of civil war the country became independent on 20 May 2021.

Rhodieland is landlocked; it has 83 permanent citizens and 39 foreign citizens as of 2022.

Economy

Rhodieland has a small agriculture based economy with about 80% of the population being farmers.

Rhodieland is an agrarian feudalist state and it's economy depends highly on wheat exports. Many of the natives migrated into cities or abroad, decreasing Rhodieland's population from 437 in 1980 to 83 in 2006. The population steadily increased since then thanks to the development of infrastructure.

Etymology

The English name of the country is often mistaken with the slang used to refer to Rhodesians, although the former and the latter are not related. A more appropriate way to refer to the country would be Rudeinya (lit. 'Wheatfield') which is it's native name. It originates from it's province name under former Hatti Empire and is a reference to the many wheat fields surrounding the area. It is also acceptable to refer the country as Laipat, being the name of the village the country is founded on. The locals refer to it simply as 'Köy' (lit. Village).

History

The country is a successor to the former Kingdom of Idia. The Kingdom of Idia was a Constitutional Monarchy founded by King Idia I after the collapse of the Hatti Empire. On 28 September 2019, Idia passed away due to asphyxia which lead to disagreements about who will continue the country on Discord based chatroom of the Kingdom. These disagreements continued until 23 March, which was the day a civil war broke out after a Putsch attempt by Republicans to seize the total control.

The war known as the Patriotic War lasted for more than a year until hostilities ceased on 20 May, date when the Loyalist faction captured all important regions inside the village and forced the rebellious factions into surrendering. The same day saw the Varda Parliamentary gather to elect the new King. The elections lasted for about an hour and ended with a 56% popular vote gained by Veysel Solak of the 033 Party, who was crowned under the title 'Rhodie' the following day. Rhodie transformed the state into a feudal state and has been leading the country under feudal system since then.

Geography and Climate

Entirety of the Kingdom is part of the Central Anatolian Steppe, and about 30% of it is rural settlements. Near entirety of the soil is arable, a creek known as the Kurtözü Creek flows from West and through the Centre of the kingdom. To the North of the Kingdom are unnamed mountains which are called Arus by the locals, while to the Northwest there is a public grove named Söğütlü.

CLIMATE

Just like the rest of the region, Rhodieland is in the Continental Climate Zone, which means the summers are hot and dry while winters are cold and snowy. Average heat is 11.3 °C or 52 °F. There is a possibility of the June rains which occur once in every 2 years. These rains make up the lifeline for the wheat production within the Feudality.

BORDERS

Most of the Feudality's territory is surrounded by the Republic of Türkiye while to South and the West it has borders to 3 other micronations: Kisla, Sardnia and Likea. Kurtözü Creek region separate from the mainland is de facto under Rhodieland's rule, although an independent family named Sardis manages it.

As of December 2021, citizens of Yusienia can apply for citizenship without having delegation and acceptance permit. Country's borders are visa-free open to Yusienians between 23 June to 30 August every year.

ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISIONS

State follows an administration law named the Hoxton Laws, named after the Minister of Interior Hoxton Al Tshili. These laws divide the country in 12 provinces of 3 groups: The Feudal Provinces, the State Provinces and the Cell Provinces.

The Feudal Provinces are provinces administrated by the Feudal Lords, who are either veterans of the Idian Civil War or members of the 033 Party. These provinces include: Nianea, Kampuchea, Koysuren, Aprilius, Rhodivs, Zienius and Idivs. Half of the income from these provinces are transferred to the State Treasury, while the rest is divided between the Feudal Lords and the peasants. These fields are mostly wheat fields and have either none or few buildings on them. Near all except Idivs are located in North, while Idivs is in East.

The State Provinces are provinces that are directly connected by the State, as these are Administrative Divisions. These provinces include: Yeçem and Laipat. Yeçem is the Capital City of the Kingdom while the head of the state is in Laipat. Althought the entirety of the country is referred to as Laipat under law, Laipat in actuality is the house where current Dux was born.

The Cell Provinces are outposts manned by the RhodAF in border with Likea. These provinces include: Kale, Söğütlü and Dersaadet. These provinces are self reliant outposts that serve as guard points in the border and were established during the Rhodieland-Likea War as supply points. They are entirely autonomous. Administration of these provinces belong to the Black Creek Legion.

Politics

Country's politics is dominated by 033 Party, although there are several other parties, state officially is a single party dictatorship. 033 being made up of the veterans of the infamous 033 Brigades that served Loyalists during the Patriotic War, serve as the second authority after the Dux, party members do have rights to pass decrees within their given feudal territory, although no decree attempts were eve made.

Although Islam is the state religion of the country, population and administration are mostly secularised. Religion plays significant role in government however is hardly imposed on civilians. On a talk between himself and party members, it is noted that Rhodie stated "Most of the natives are Muslims in name but unfortunately we can not make them Muslims in practice." Although state tries to discourage it, Alcohol consumption is high on ceremonies amongst older groups, while youth has no leanings towards alcohol or cigarettes, which Rhodie again stated "The people celebrate eid and bajram, they do partake in few religious rituals but this mostly is due to centuries old habits that turned into norms. Number of irreligious individuals within youth is rising but thankfully they are, which ironically, closer to practicing their former religion than their blatantly ignorant parents are."

Official state ideology of the country is Laipat Feudalism which is considered a dynamic ideology in some practices and a conservative one on others. Although Rhodieland has no constitution, it is a generally accepted law that Laipat Feudalism can not be replaced with any other ideologies.
